Dear Families and Friends of the Autism Alliance,
It is with great pride that we share our work and commitment to all of YOU! This year we have partnered with a record number of community business, schools, and colleges. Our mission is simple – cast the net far and wide; create a new paradigm from Autism Awareness to “Autism Welcoming” and form a stronger community for all.

We designed and implemented an autism education training for businesses, and have certified ten businesses in MetroWest and the list is growing. These businesses have onsite sensory tool-kits, visual supports, and many have monthly sensory friendly times and events. Above all, these businesses, whether they are museums, restaurants, bookstores, grocery stores or hair salons, are all “Autism Welcoming.

We recognize that families need support from respite workers and that there is not only a shortage of providers but also a limited amount of support and education for individuals to become respite workers. Over the past year we have engaged over 50 individuals in our Caregiver Corps. We have worked with four local schools and colleges and have provided three Meet & Greet events for families.
We would like to keep these initiatives going, and with your help we can train more businesses, provide more sensory friendly times and events, connect more people with qualified respite providers, and further create our Autism Welcoming Community!
Please consider a donation today and be part of this groundbreaking work!
Sincerely,
Allison Daigle & Pam McKillop
