Storytime & Smiles at the Autism Welcoming Center!
Drop-In Dates:
Saturday, October 3 | 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
Tuesday, October 13 | 1:30–2:30 PM
Join us for a welcoming, autism-friendly Storytime experience featuring stories, crafts, snacks, and plenty of time to play. Unlike a traditional Storytime, this program takes place in the Autism Welcoming℠ Center, a space intentionally designed to provide comprehensive sensory support for children with autism and sensory sensitivities.
Families have access to sensory tools, flexible seating, movement opportunities, calming spaces, and a sensory-friendly environment that allows children to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable. There is no expectation to sit still, stay quiet, or engage in a specific way. Children are encouraged to explore, take breaks when needed, and enjoy activities at their own pace.
Children and families can enjoy engaging read-alouds, explore book-inspired activities, create a craft, grab a snack, and spend time playing throughout the Center. Whether attending for the entire program or dropping in for a portion of the event, families are welcome to participate in the way that works best for them.
Come for a story, stay for the fun, and let your imagination soar!
No registration required. Parent/caregiver supervision is required.
