Framingham, MA (February 11, 2022) – The Autism Alliance, a program of Advocates, is pleased to announce it has received a $12,000 grant from the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
For families of loved ones with autism, getting out in the community often comes with challenges and fear of judgement. Through the Autism Welcoming Initiative, Advocates and the Autism Alliance are partnering with local businesses to create a welcoming and accessible community in the MetroWest area and beyond.
FRAMINGHAM — The Framingham Cultural Council has a new leadership team for 2021-22.
At the helm is Mauricio Perea, the new chair. Perea joined the council in June 2020. He is also a member of the Autism Alliance of Metrowest.
FRAMINGHAM — Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company has always strived to offer an inclusive and welcoming environment for those visiting its Morton Street taproom. That strategy was recently recognized by the Autism Alliance, which certified Exhibit 'A' as an “Autism Welcoming Business,” according to the brewery's general manager, Kelsey Roth.
