Children With Special Needs

Bubble Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics understands the challenges parents of special needs children face when looking for a dentist.  We have created a practice environment that is unlike no other.  From the moment you and your child enter you are greeted by a calming Moon Jellyfish tank, then you pass through our “underwater” tunnel into reception with Balee our Humpback whale hanging from the ceiling. In our treatment area, we have more sea life hanging from the ceiling as well as two 10’ long coral reef tanks to add to the sense of a calming and relaxing environment, more like a trip to the aquarium than a dental office.

Our pedodontist specialists have over two years of special training in providing pediatric dental care for children with autism, and developmental disabilities.  We understand that even routine healthcare can be a bit more challenging for your child, and we go out of our way to create a positive experience for you, and your child.  Many pediatricians and dental offices refer patients to us for the specialized care and environment we provide.

Technology to Improve Your Childs Dental Experience

We understand that loud sounds and uncomfortable sensations are often triggers for our special needs patients. This is why we use the Fotona laser for needle and drill-free dentistry. Our laser technology makes it possible to treat cavities and other common dental problems without causing any of the stress or fear normally involved in dental procedures.

Another technology we use is the iTero 3-D scanner.  Instead of using a putty-filled tray to take a dental impression, which was uncomfortable and caused gagging in some patients, we can digitally scan your child’s mouth in about 90 seconds.

Our investment in these technologies allow our doctors and staff to care for your child in the least invasive way possible which helps reduce anxiety and increase comfort during their visit and procedures.

We know you are concerned about the long-term as well as the short-term health of your child’s teeth. Our dental team takes pride in our abilities to care for special-needs patients, and we continually educate ourselves in order to serve this population of patients with the highest standard of care.
