About Mattapan Community Health Center Dental Clinic

The Mattapan Community Health Center Dental Clinic was established in the early 70’s to address the dental health needs of the Mattapan and Hyde Park communities. The clinic has created healthy smiles for patients of all ages and from all walks of life. Their team of caring and experienced dental health professionals will take time to get to know you and understand your unique needs. They’ll work with you to develop a dental treatment plan that will result in the beautiful and healthy smile you’ve always wanted. They offer screenings, exams, diagnosis, and basic restorative services such as fillings. Specialty services include periodontal treatment, root canals, crown and bridge work, teeth whitening, and dentures. They also offer walk-in care for emergencies. Patients are seen and scheduled on a first come first served basis. They utilize the latest digital radiography, digital imaging, computerized medical record technologies, and panoramic X-ray. MCHC is a proud training site for many dental schools in the greater Boston area including Harvard University, Boston University, and Tufts University School of Dentistry.

Autism Welcoming Information

The Mattapan Community Health Center Dental Clinic is Autism Welcoming certified and is proud to support individuals with autism. They offer everyday accommodations for patients, including a separate “no wait” entrance, a separate bathroom, quieter exam rooms in the back with dimmer lighting, social stories, and a calming kit. During the booking process, they will respect your child’s schedule and routine when setting the appointment time and they encourage caregivers to disclose an autism diagnosis when booking an appointment. During the visit, team members will listen to the person with autism and their caregivers. They will thoughtfully answer any questions, fears or concerns that they may have.
