For families caring for loved ones of all ages living at home, Advocates’ family support centers provide recreation, trainings, and resources to assist you. Programs range from sibling workshops to social skills groups for young adults and special outings just for moms.

Autism Alliance

Since 1993, the Autism Alliance has focused on providing families in the MetroWest area of Boston with education, resources, and support in caring for loved ones with autism. The Alliance is made of more than 1000 families and 125 specialists in the field – a community of people sharing information and experiences, and offering support in a variety of ways. Our goal is to give families the knowledge not only to cope with autism, but also to flourish and grow. Learn more

Intercultural Family Support Center

Advocates Intercultural Family Support Center (AIFSC) connects families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Massachusetts Middlesex West area to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. The families we support are the foremost experts on their lives, and we partner with them to design supports for their unique cultural, ethnic, and linguistic needs and goals. Learn more

Project Able

Project Able was created to connect Chinese and Vietnamese in the Boston area to resources and support for loved ones with disabilities. Our culturally diverse and experienced staff partners with each family to provide access to programs, services, and connections based on their unique needs and vision.

Support can range from housing and benefits advocacy, to communications and translation, and recreational and social events. Ultimately, we bridge language and cultural barriers so that each family and their loved one can be part of a supportive and nurturing community. Learn more

South Coastal Family Support Center

The South Coastal Family Support Center connects families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in the Massachusetts South Shore area to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Advocates believes that the families we support are the foremost experts on their lives, and we work in partnership with each family to design supports specific to their needs, goals, and wishes.

We host family events, social groups, and recreational activities through the Center to build a strong, welcoming community. We also recognize the value of shared experiences, insights, and information, and we strive to provide a variety of opportunities for families and individuals to make lasting and meaningful connections with each other.
