Autism Specialist

Katie has a brother with autism who is 20 months younger than her. As the oldest of four, Katie took it upon herself to be a helper to her brother, parents, and siblings. As a child she participated in sibshops and as a teen she babysat for other children with autism. Katie studied Human Services at Lasell Collage. Throughout her college career she completed internships at AANE and ARCs working with families’ and individuals on the autism spectrum and also became certified in Sibshop programming. After years of direct care service Katie became a supervisor for Advocates day program and was responsible for multiple program rooms including autism services. She continued to work in the field of health and human services until becoming a mother in 2012. Now with a nine- and seven-year-old she has joined the Autism Alliance as an Autism Specialist.

Katie wears many hats, mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend as well as an active PTO board member, Girl Scout troop leader and service unit treasurer, and council member for Framingham’s Early Child Alliance.

“I’m so excited to be back and working in this role as Autism Specialist! I look forward to meeting new families and helping them be as successful as they can be! I know my life experiences brought me here, but I have so much to learn from each and every family I meet and I’m grateful to be here to serve them all!”
