About Powisset Farm

Powisset Farm is a 109-acre property with a history of active agricultural use dating back more than 300 years. Visitors to this Trustees property can stroll down the farm lane, say hello to barnyard animals, admire the rows of vegetables and herbs, then take the loop trail beyond the cultivated land to an upland oak forest, a pair of brooks, vernal pools, and wooded wetlands. Mowed trails through the hay fields link to the adjacent 1,200-acre Hale Reservation, while Noanet Woodlands, another Trustees property, is just across the street. In addition to the vibrant barnyard, there is also a teaching kitchen that hosts adult and children’s classes, year-round farm store, community-supported agriculture (CSA) program, summer camp, and many public programs and events.
